SAFETY
ECSI puts a high priority on providing a safe
and friendly workplace environment for
employees. ECSI’s Safety Committee includes CEO,
Safety Manager, Assistant Safety Manager, Human
Resources Manager, Senior Project Managers and
also all employees of any level are welcome to
join the Safety Committee as advisors. The
Safety Committee meets once a month and
discusses current safety issues, accident
investigations and safety training.
All job-sites are inspected on a regular basis
by the Safety Manager using a checklist to
ensure all aspects have been inspected.
ECSI provides every employee with Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hat,
safety glasses, dust masks, ear plugs and work
glove to ensure they have the proper safety gear
to perform their daily tasks. Additional task
specific PPE’s are also provided for their
usage.
All employees have full, ready access to first
aid kits, MSDS binders and HAZCOM materials. All
employees carry an operator’s card issued for
safety compliance by the manufacturer for using
scissor lifts, boom lifts, bucket trucks, digger
derricks depending on their position.
ECSI’s safety programs boasts an Experience
Modification Rate (EMR) of 0.84 and has won Gold
Status STEP Awards from Associated Builders and
Contractors in 2005 and 2006 with a pending
Platinum Status for 2007.
